Catherine Byerley

My Experience

I focus on employment ligation in both state and federal court, including workplace harassment, wrongful termination and retaliation, The Family and Medical Leave Act, and wage and hour disputes, among others.

Additionally, specializing in personal injury litigation, I have extensive experience with both workers’ compensation and auto accident cases. I am a former defense attorney and insurance adjuster, which gives me a deep understanding of how insurance companies evaluate claims. Because the claims process can be difficult and complex, I believe having someone on your side to help navigate the ins and outs is critical. I am committed to ensuring our clients receive the representation and compensation they deserve.

My workers’ compensation experience includes repetitive motion claims, non-insured employers, general versus sub-contractor disputes and on-the-job car accident injuries. My auto accident experience also consists of non-insured or underinsured motorist coverage, multi-defendant, hit and run, innocent passenger and pedestrian involved accidents.

I am a member of the North Carolina and Catawba County Bar Associations and am currently licensed and admitted to practice before all North Carolina state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.

Beyond the Courtroom

Beyond the courtroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and cheering on the Carolina Panthers.
